If they (still) call you a liar, tell them: "For me my actions, for you yours. You are not answerable for my deeds, nor I for what you do." 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 Some of them look toward you: But can you show the blind the way even when they cannot see? 43 Lo! Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught; but mankind wrong themselves. 44 And of the Day whereon He shall gather them, as though they had tarried not save an hour of the day they shall mutually recognize. Lost surely are those who belie the meeting with Allah and they were not such as to be guided. 45 And whether We shew thee some of that which We have promised them, or We cause thee to die, unto us is their return, and Allah is witness of that which they do. 46 For every people there is an apostle; and when their apostle is come the matter is decided between them equitably, and no one is wronged. 47 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 48 Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]." 49 Say, "If His punishment comes upon you in the dead of night, or by the light of day, how will the guilty escape it? 50 And when it overtakes you, is it then that you will believe in it, now, when you already try to hasten it! 51 Then it will be said to those who had wronged, "Taste the punishment of eternity; are you being recompensed except for what you used to earn?" 52 They ask you, "Is that (punishment) true?" Tell them, "It certainly is. I swear by my Lord. You can not escape from (God's retribution)". 53
