Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
