Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 It is He who has created death and life to put you to the test and see which of you is most virtuous in your deeds. He is Majestic and All-forgiving. 2 who created seven heavens one upon another. Thou seest not in the creation of the All-merciful any imperfection. Return thy gaze; seest thou any fissure? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" 10 Thus will they confess their sins. Damned are these inmates of the Blazing Fire. 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 (Whether you) speak in secret or aloud, He knows the innermost of the chests. 13 Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware. 14
