The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
