Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the left to display the Juz Table of Contents where you can go to any Juz, Hizb, ¾, ½, ¼, or any page within.
