These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 As for the Companions of the Left 41 Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water, 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 Neither cool nor pleasant. 44 Before they lived at ease, 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 And said: "What! When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised again? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times, 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then you, you misguided ones, who deny the truth, 51 Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 Then will fill your bellies with it. 53 And shall be drinkers thereon of boiling water. 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 We have created you, why do you not then assent? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Is it you who create it - or are We the source of its creation? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 We could make it brackish, if We pleased; so why do you not acknowledge thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire which you strike? 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 Glorify, then, (O Prophet), the name of your Great Lord. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
