Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
