We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
