Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
