111 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hood (Hood) before The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Alif. Lam. Ra. These are verse of the Scripture that maketh plain. 1 We have sent it down as an Arabic Koran; haply you will understand. 2 We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not. 3 Recall what time Yusuf said unto his father: My father! Verily I have seen eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I have seen them prostrating themselves unto me. 4 he replied, "My son, do not relate your dream to your brothers, lest they plot evil against you -- Satan is the sworn enemy of man. 5 And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of narratives and complete His favor upon you and upon the family of Jacob, as He completed it upon your fathers before, Abraham and Isaac. Indeed, your Lord is Knowing and Wise." 6
