Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say before: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
