50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
