The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
