The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 a guidance, and good tidings unto the believers 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly. 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. 6 Recall what time Musa said unto his household: verily I perceive a fire afar; I shall forthwith bring you tidings thereof, or bring unto you a brand lighted therefrom, haply ye may warm yourselves. 7 But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 Now cast your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned his back in retreat and did not even look behind. "O Moses, have no fear. Messengers have no fear in My presence, 10 save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. 11 And put thy hand into the bosom of thy robe, it will come forth white but unhurt. (This will be one) among nine tokens unto Pharaoh and his people Lo! they were ever evil-living folk. 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! 14
