He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 Olives and dates, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 and fruits and pastures 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
