Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the swift scatterers 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the liars 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
