The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
