Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 closed around them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
