Do you not see that We have appointed devils to incite those who deny the truth to disobedience? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Certainly you have made an abominable assertion 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue that thou mayest bear good tidings thereby to the godfearing, and warn a people stubborn. 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
