Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And remember You much. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
