The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 these are the heirs 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
