۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
