3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
