And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
