Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 Till the appointed day." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
