Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
