The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
