Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
