And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 "And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
