1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
