Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
