The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
