Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
