The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
