I do not need to swear by what you see 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It has been sent down by the Lord of all the worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta. 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And lo! it is absolute truth. 51 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 52
