The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
