The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 Enter therein in peace, secure. 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is the painful chastisement. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Abraham said: "What, do you give me this tiding though old age has smitten me? Just consider what tiding do you give me!" 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 "Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray." 56 He added: "What is your errand O sent ones?" 57 They said: verily we have been sent unto a people guilty 58 "Except the family of Lot whom we shall save 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60
