The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
