And recall when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam"; all of them fell prostrate, except Iblis. He was of the jinn and so disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you, then, take him and his progeny as your guardians rather than Me although they are your open enemies? What an evil substitute are these wrong-doers taking! 50 ۞ I did not call them to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation. I would not take as helpers those who lead (men) astray. 51 The day He will say: "Call those you had called My compeers," they will call them, but will get no response, and We shall place a gulf between them. 52 And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere. 53
