AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 And when the twain reached the confluence of the two, they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea freely. 61 And when they had gone further, he said to his assisting youth; 'Bring us our breakfast; we are worn out from our journey' 62 He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly". 63 [Musa (Moses)] said: "That is what we have been seeking." So they went back retracing their footsteps. 64 So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence. 65 Musa said unto him: shall I follow thee that thou mayest teach me of that which thou hast been taught a directive knowledge. 66 Said he, 'Assuredly thou wilt not be able to bear with me patiently. 67 "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?" 68 Moses said, "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in any thing." 69 Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof." 70
