The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are verses of the clear Book. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
