No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
