۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 and say, 'What, are our gods better, or he?' They cite not him to thee, save to dispute;. nay, but they are a people contentious. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 The various factions among them differed -- woe then to those who did wrong: they will suffer the punishment of a painful Day. 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
