And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he stayed among them a thousand years less fifty years [inviting them to believe in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism), and discard the false gods and other deities], and the Deluge overtook them while they were Zalimun (wrong-doers, polytheists, disbelievers, etc.). 14 So We delivered him and the inmates of the ark, and made it a sign to the nations. 15 And (remember) Ibrahim (Abraham) when he said to his people: "Worship Allah (Alone), and fear Him, that is better for you if you did but know. 16 You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent." 20 chastising whom He will, and having mercy on whomsoever He will, and unto Him you shall be turned. 21 And ye cannot escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and beside Allah there is for you no friend nor helper. 22
