Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
