The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
