'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
