Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So you and your deities 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
