Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
