۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
